October is the open house month of Indoestri Makerspace. And we held exciting workshop every weekend throughout the month and offer a free Indoestri tour for public.
Following the success of Indoestri Textile & Leather 101 Workshop with Leonard Theosabrata on October 4th 2014. For the second week, we have the privilege to collaborate with Ayu Larasti and conducted a one day basic Pottery Class.

In Indoestri Pottery Class, participants learn the basic process of making their own Self Made pottery products which is a set of bowl and platter. The class started with an hour live demo by Ayu Larasati at the lounge, then they had lunch break and go straight to the workshop, experiencing the heat and get their hands dirty for about 2.5 hours.

Although they're assigned to make a set of bowl and platter, every piece was different and has their own uniqueness. At the end of the day, all participants surprised us and Ayu with their creations. Now while their pieces are still in the pottery kiln, they will come back this Saturday to pick up their pottery products completed with a various kind of color glazing.
