DSLR film making
Everyone has the same equal opportunity to be a great videographer by learning how to see things with a different perspective. In this DSLR film-making class, you'll spend the whole day learning from a well-known videographer Patrick Tashadian who has more than 10 years of experience in film industry.
1st session
In the first session, Patrick will be doing a live demo and cover basic knowledge on how-to set up a proper video shoot, a more deeper understanding about both studio and outdoor lighting, various kind of angles that can inspire you and improve your skill on film-making. Patrick will also cover a few tips on how a great videographer works with a different kind of lighting.
2nd session
After lunch break, class participants will be given a group assignment to make your own advertising video (15sec - 1 minute length). At the end of the class, Patrick will choose 1 group with the best footage and combine the clips into one decent video. Patrick will give a few tips on video editing.
What to bring :
- Your own digital camera (pocket or DSLR camera)
- Optional : bring your own laptop if you want to ask Patrick about a few tips on video editing
About Patrick Tashadian:
Patrick has over 10 years of film experience, having worked as a producer and cinematographer in New York for an Asian-American TV network, and a graduate from New York Film Academy. Creating content such as a variety shows, sitcoms and stand up comedy that have paved illustrious careers (Russel Peters, Ken Jeong, Aziz Ansari, etc).
His body of work has consisted of working with great talents in the field of music videos and commercials. He can be accredited for his cinematography for such clients as Toyota, Gudang Garam, Yamaha, Garuda Indonesia Airlines, Red Bull, Nokia, Philips and artists like Talib Kweli, Ice T, Justin Young, NOAH and many others.
