Learn about the core essence of animation and create your own GIF. You will learn the different animation concepts and techniques, and make your still images come to life. Don’t know how to draw? Don’t worry! You’ll be guided from beginning to end. This workshop is suitable for anyone who is new to animation, and drawing, and drawing is indeed a skill that can be learnt. A simple drawing brought to life, can become something Impressive.
During the workshop, you will learn:
• About principles of animation
• About animating with different softwares
• To sketch the movements as key pauses and make a stop-motion sketchbook
• To import a sketch to Adobe Photoshop, learning about tracing and cleaning up your sketch
• About planning your animation and creating the animation itself
• The different ways you can upload your GIFs to Instagram (which does not support animated GIFs)
• About ways to create GIFs without access to Adobe programs
For this workshop, you will need to bring with you a laptop with Adobe Photoshop installed.
