This workshop is the very first collaboration workshop in Indoestri, and its back again soon! This workshop is no doubt the father of all collaborations.
For this class, we merged TWO different set skills, leatherworking and woodworking, for you to create a desk lamp of your own. During this workshop, you will gain basic woodworking skills, leather sewing, as well as finishing techniques, and also a little bit of how an electrical lamp works. Join this workshop and get ready to be enlightened!
During this 6-hour workshop, you’ll learn to:
• Use different types of woodworking machines to cut materials, and also understand the unique characteristics of each machine
• Assemble all wooden parts of the lamp
• Do simple finishing to smoothen the surface
• Leatherwork techniques: How to measure, cut, stitch and its treatment
• All the useful tips and tricks when making your own leather product
• Leather hand stitching technique — the leather part of the desk lamp will be entirely hand stitched
• Make your own #SelfMade desk lamp that you get to bring home at the end of the day
